Two partners, one trade

St Pete Crawlspace is Shane Goforth and Joseph Grimsley. There is no call centre, no commissioned inspector, and no franchise handbook telling us which branded system you need.

We work under the older raised homes of St. Petersburg and the rest of Pinellas County — the Kenwood bungalows, the post-war houses of Lealman, the pre-1950 neighborhoods of Clearwater and Gulfport, the sponge-era cottages of Tarpon Springs — houses built on piers before Florida decided everything should sit on a slab. Those houses were designed to breathe underneath. A century of Gulf humidity has turned that design decision into a moisture problem, and that is the problem we solve.

How we work

Shane Goforth does the inspections and the installations. When you book an inspection, the person who shows up is the person who will be under your house — not someone whose pay depends on closing you that afternoon.

Joseph Grimsley runs the office — scheduling, quotes and billing — which mostly means you get a call back the same day and an invoice that matches the quote.

What we will always tell you

• If your house is on a slab and there is nothing under it to service.
• If your crawlspace is genuinely dry and does not need our help yet.
• If the clearance is too tight for us to install properly and safely.
• If what you actually need is a licensed structural contractor, a plumber or an electrician — and not us.

Our lane, stated plainly

We perform crawlspace cleaning, vapor barrier installation, insulation and moisture control. We do not perform structural repair, foundation repair or mold remediation. In Florida those require separate state licenses, and a company that blurs that line is telling you something about how it handles everything else.

When an inspection turns up failing piers, damaged joists or mold, you get the photographs and a referral to an appropriately licensed contractor. We are glad to do the moisture work alongside them once the structure is sound.
