Scope and licensing
What we do not do, and why
Plenty of companies in this trade quietly cross these lines. We would rather be the ones who tell you where the lines are.
Structural repair, foundation repair and mold remediation each require a separate Florida license, and we will not do licensed work without the license. If an evaluation turns up failing piers, damaged joists or mold, we document it with photographs and refer you to an appropriately licensed contractor.
Mold remediation
Remediation of more than ten square feet requires a Florida Mold Remediator license — a separate license from a contractor’s, and one we will keep referring out.
Electrical and plumbing
New circuits, receptacles, sump pumps and drainage tie-ins are licensed trade work.
Pest control
We clean a crawlspace out. We do not exterminate what was living in it.
